Bø cannot be bent - Hofer makes a mistake with the standing attack

The overall World Cup leader only went into the final lap in fifth place after a mistake in the last shooting. In this one, Bø showed his impressive form on the cross-country ski trail. On the home straight he left the Austrian Julian Eberhard (+0,6 seconds) and the French Quentin Fillon Maillet (+2,8 seconds) behind him. The Biahtlon dominator of recent years, Martin Fourcade, ultimately had to settle for fourth place (+8,6 seconds).

At the last shooting, however, Hofer made two mistakes again and went into the final lap in 23rd place. In the end he crossed the finish line in 22nd place.

Hofer was the only “Azzurro” in the field on Sunday, as only the top 30 of the IBU World Cup are allowed to start in the mass start.

In the afternoon (14.40 p.m.) the women's mass start will take place at the end of the Ruhpolding weekend.
