Women's sprint: Dahlmeier wins - Sanfilippo puts an exclamation mark

Dorothea Wierer was the 21st best South Tyrolean. The racer started the race with the high start number 102 and really moved up the field from behind. In the end, however, a shooting error at the first stop and imperfect running performance prevented a better placing. Nevertheless, the starting position for the pursuit on Saturday is not bad - also because Wierer has already proven in Östersund that it is capable of a brilliant one Catching up is always good.

Federica Sanfilippo, on the other hand, made a strong exclamation mark. After three difficult individual races in Östersund, in which she always placed outside the points, she raced up to 23rd place in Pokljuka with one shooting error and great running performance.

Alexia Runggaldier also collected points in 40th place, as did Lisa Vittozzi (35th), while Karin Oberhofer's performance clearly went wrong. She finished the race in 94th place with four shooting errors.

Exciting duel at the front The fight for first place was a very close affair, in which Laura Dahlmeier was ultimately able to hold her own, 3,5 seconds ahead of the Frenchwoman Justine Braisaz. Marte Olsbu was third, over 20 seconds behind.
