This time Wierer won't catch up

After Friday's sprint, Wierer started the trail in 21st place. Already at the first stop at the shooting range it was clear that there would be no further catching up this time. She had to go into the penalty loop once and later missed again in the third shooting. So he wasn't able to improve significantly and ultimately crossed the finish line in 19th place, around a minute and a half behind.

Of the other Azzurres, only Lisa Vittozzi made it into the points with 22nd place. The two South Tyroleans Alexia Runggaldier (47th) and Federica Sanfilippo (52nd) placed at the back of the field.

Dahlmeier in a class of his own

Meanwhile, at the Spitz, Laura Dahlmeier put on an impressive performance. The German biathlete had two missed shots, but was unstoppable on the trail. She took her second victory within 16,8 hours with a lead of 24 seconds. Second and third places went to the experienced Finn Kaisa Mäkäräinen and Eva Puskarcikova from the Czech Republic.

Last weekend, Dorothea Wierer made it from 19th place to the podium in the pursuit competition. This feat was denied her on Saturday at the World Cup in Pokljuka, Slovenia.
