The fact that a legal dispute over this equipment contract was raging just a few kilometers away did not dampen the mood. And neither does Doro's smile. As always, Italy's most successful biathlete professionally faced the crowds of journalists to answer any questions in detail. The motivation is still there Wierer had to repeat one answer particularly often: Why did she continue? “The heart has decided,” says the woman from Niederrasn almost poetically. “Last season showed me that the motivation is still there. I don't know whether I can still win, but I absolutely still want to fight for podium places." In biathlon, it is always difficult to make predictions. “Because every year there are different favorites. Sometimes a top athlete is gone, sometimes a new star emerges from the ground.
