Dorothea Wierer is the prize money queen

The newly crowned South Tyrolean Sportswoman of the Year has had the best season of her career. Two World Cup victories, a World Championship title, the small crystal ball in the pursuit and of course the big ball for the overall World Cup speak for themselves. Of course, a season like this also results in a windfall: Wierer earned a total of 238.450 euros - gross, of course.

What earned her the most money was winning the overall World Cup (28.000 euros) and the world championship title in the mass start (25.000 euros). But the yellow jersey for the overall World Cup leader, which Wierer wore 20 times, also paid off a lot: Since there is 1.000 euros for each competition, the speedster won 20.000 euros here.

Second place for the women went to Wierer's long-term rival and teammate Lisa Vittozzi, who earned 194.650 euros. Anastasiya Kuzmina (182.500 euros), Marte Olsbu Røiseland (176.000) and Hanna Öberg (175.000) follow in the other places. Federica Sanfilippo and Alexia Runggaldier earned 13.000 and 6.000 euros respectively.

Wierer is the prize money queen for the women. Only one person has earned more this season, namely Johannes Thingnes Bø. The Norwegian raised 462.500 euros - a huge sum, but one that becomes understandable when you look at the results. Bø won the overall World Cup, all four crystal globes and a total of 16 victories. The Russian Alexander Loginov landed in second place with a huge gap (2 euros).

The two South Tyroleans were also able to look forward to a nice sum: Lukas Hofer scratched the 100.000 mark (he won a total of 99.500 euros in prize money), while Dominik Windisch collected 49.000 euros. He received more than half of that, namely 25.000 euros, for his surprising world championship title.
