Eckhoff wins the race, Røiseland the ball

After winning the sprint The Eckhof also prevailed in the hunting race in Oslo on Saturday. She relegated her Norwegian teammate Marte Olsbu Røiseland, who also had two errors, to second place with a lead of 24,9 seconds. The Slovakian Paulina Fialkova came third (0 errors/+ 50,5 seconds).

The three-time Beijing Olympic champion Røiseland secured the overall World Cup for the first time. The small crystal balls in the pursuit and sprint also go to Røiseland.

There was little to gain for the Azzurre. Lisa Vittozzi ended up in 25th place. The 27-year-old from Sappada/Plodn made a total of five mistakes at the shooting range: after just four missed shots in the first prone stage, all chances of a top placing were gone. Samuela Comola finished the race in 26th place with one shooting error.

Federica Sanfilippo from Ridnaun, who started the race in 54th place, made no mistakes in the first shooting, made two mistakes in the second shooting, twice in the first standing and once in the final shooting. Ultimately, she finished the race in 50th place. Dorothea Wierer wasn't even there in the pursuit of the best 60 after finishing 67th in the sprint. She can therefore concentrate entirely on the mass start on Sunday: “Doro” leads the discipline rankings three points ahead of the Swede Elvira Öberg and therefore still has a good chance of winning the small crystal ball.

Eckhoff wins the race, Røiseland the ball

Tiril Eckhoff won the last biathlon pursuit race of the season. Meanwhile, her Norwegian compatriot Marte Olsbu Røiseland wrapped up the overall World Cup.
