The 33-year-old said this in an interview with the television station TV2 . “I've been knocked out since I fell on my face,” reports Bø, who now feels a little better: “I felt terrible on Monday and Tuesday.” My skull was buzzing and it was difficult with all the abrasions to sleep. Got away with a black eye While his teammates train on the Seiser Alm, he has to watch. And all because of a broken binding. At least the production company apologized for the incident and announced that it would soon bring new, safer bindings onto the market. It is thanks to his protective equipment that Bø escaped with abrasions and a concussion. “I only noticed days after the fall that the helmet was broken in several places. “It probably hit harder than I initially thought,” says Bø, referring to the adrenaline immediately after the fall. “I only got it back the day after.” “I can handle a few days without training.” Tarjei Bø Johannes Thingnes Bø's older brother says he was sure the fall would result in three months in a cast. “However, I stood up and was surprised when nothing felt broken. The last few days have been hard, but you can look at it from two sides. Either I'm frustrated that I got injured or I'm happy that it turned out so well." But he is a little annoyed, especially since the binding company didn't inform him, even though the same accident had happened to others before . “But I would have been more frustrated if I was lying here with a broken femur or collarbone. I can handle a few days without training,” emphasizes Bø. He's currently enjoying the view in his hotel room and hasn't lost his sense of humor despite everything. “I was lucky in misfortune, because as Johannes says: 'It's a good thing you didn't break both of your wrists, otherwise I'd have to help you clean yourself in the toilet,'” jokes Bø.
