Hofer and Vittozzi shine in their summer outfits

Lukas Hofer didn't miss his triumph in the men's field and set the best time with 22.50,2:4,8 minutes. In the final sprint, the Montaler beat Giuseppe Montello (+54,3 seconds), while Dominik Windisch crossed the finish line in third place, but was already XNUMX seconds behind.

In the women's field there was a confident victory for Lisa Vittozzi, who performed flawlessly on the shooting range and was also fast on the roller skis. The result: a time of 21.04,1:1.28 minutes. This mark was impossible for Dorothea Wierer: the overall World Cup winner missed four times and crossed the finish line 2.30 minutes behind. Nevertheless, it was enough for Doro to win silver. Third place went to Nicole Gontier, who was 23.50 minutes behind Vittozzi. Federica Sanfilippo (23.58 minutes) and Alexia Runggaldier (XNUMX minutes) finished fourth and fifth.

There were also some South Tyrolean victories in the youth categories: Rebecca Passler and David Zingerle triumphed in the U19 field, Veronika Rainer won in the U17 category.
