In Antholz: Wierer & Co. are fighting for the first titles of the season

The new competition season officially starts with these title fights. The entire Italian national biathlon team is at the start, from Dorothea Wierer and Lisa Vittozzi to Dominik Windisch and Lukas Hofer. The young local talents Rebecca Passler, Hannah Auchentaller and Linda Zingerle are also registered. While Doro Wierer will only take part in the sprint, all other Azzurri will take part in both competitions. Fans are also allowed back into the stands at this Italian championship, but only with the Green Pass. The 3G rule counts: vaccinated, recovered or tested. The individual race takes place on Friday and the sprint on Saturday. The start is scheduled for 9 a.m. on both days of the competition. The competition takes place in the categories Senior, U-21, U-18 and U-16, women and men. The Italian national team has been training in the South Tyrol Arena for days. Athletes from the USA, Belarus and Japan also take part in the race.
