Karin Oberhofer finished in fifth place

Oberhofer was even on course for a podium finish after the first shooting, but then shot one ticket each in the second prone and the first standing shot and had to let something go. After a flawless final shooting session, the 29-year-old from Eisacktal was able to improve to fifth place in the last round. She was 32 seconds behind winner Laura Dahlmeier.

The German remained flawless in the mass start and prevailed in 35:08,2 minutes ahead of the Czech Gabriela Soukalova (+7,1 seconds). The French Marie Dorin Habert came third (+19,9 seconds). For the Belarusian Darya Domracheva, fourth place was enough to secure the overall World Cup. The German Franziska Preuss won the mass start World Cup.

Dorothea Wierer misses the top ten The last competition of the season didn't go quite as planned for Dorothea Wierer. The racer made a total of four mistakes and finished the race in 16th place, around two minutes behind. In the overall World Cup ranking, Wierer came seventh as the best “Azzurra”. Karin Oberhofer, however, took her position in tenth place.

Fourcade overall winner among men In the men's race, Frenchman Martin Fourcade secured his fourth overall World Cup victory in a row, even though he didn't get past 20th place in the final mass start. The two South Tyroleans Lukas Hofer and Dominik Windisch, who were no longer part of the game on Sunday, are ranked 38th and 39th in the overall World Cup rankings. The Slovenian Jakov Fak secured victory in the men's mass start in Khanty-Mansiysk Russian Anton Shipulin and Norwegian Tarjei Boe
