Kuzmina strikes again – Wierer misses top 10

The woman from Niederrasner missed once at the first shooting range stop and otherwise made no mistakes. The second South Tyrolean in the group, Federica Sanfilippo, missed twice and had to settle for 39th place. Alexia Runggaldier didn't start. The sprint was dominated by Anastasiya Kuzmina, who celebrated her third win of the season in Oberhof. Despite a shooting error, the Slovakian beat the Finnish Kaisa Makarainen (also a mistake) by a respectable 35 seconds. The Czech Veronika Vitkova came third, 40 seconds behind and with a ticket.
