Laura Dahlmeier shows great courage in South Tyrol

Long bike tours, mountain runs, climbing: the German biathletes around Denise Herrmann are putting in a lot of effort on the Alpe di Siusi to be fit for the new season. The ski hunters have been sweating on the high plateau below the Sciliar for several days now and recently received a prominent visitor. Olympic champion Laura Dahlmeier, who retired two years ago, stopped by her former colleagues. World-class mountaineer and speed climber Thomas Huber was also there. The two sports stars even dueled in a special challenge. German biathletes have fun Dahlmeier and Huber competed against each other on a steep wall: who could get up faster? The event was organized by sponsor Adidas and the enthusiasm was great. Dahlmeier was loudly cheered on by her former colleagues. Even if you can't see in the videos who was up faster at the end, Dahlmeier, who is passionate about climbing in her free time, did more than just bravely against the professional. The other biathletes also tried their hand at climbing that afternoon. Denise Hermann & Co. had a blast. “They are fast, always hit and now they have shown that they are also great in the vertical: the girls from the German biathlon,” wrote Thomas Huber afterwards on social media. Praise from this world-class extreme athlete – that may mean something.
