Here we go: Italy's biathletes start the season

The vacation is over: preparation for the new season began on Monday for part of Italy's national biathlon team.

The Azzurre's first dry training camp takes place in Tuscany. In the popular holiday resort of Viareggio (province of Lucca), Lisa Vittozzi & Co. complete their first sessions with the team. They will be accompanied there by head coach Alexander Inderst and his staff. The women will be stationed in Viareggio until next weekend.

Included are Vittozzi, Michela Carrara, Samuela Comola, Martina Trabucchi, Beatrice Trabucchi, Sara Scattolo and the three Antholzers Hannah Auchentaller, Rebecca Passler and Linda Zingerle. With the exception of Vittozzi, they all belong to the “Milano Cortina 2026” team. Dorothea Wierer, who forms the elite team with Vittozzi and Tommaso Giacomel, will complete the majority of the season preparation with the men, just like last year. So we stick to the tried and tested.
