The Frenchman Martin Fourcade won the first sprint race of the 2015/16 World Cup season in Östersund (Sweden). However, numerous athletes had to struggle with the difficult weather conditions - including the South Tyroleans Lukas Hofer and Dominik Windisch. In the end they even missed qualifying for the pursuit race on Sunday.
