Next podium: Hofer in the form of his life

For Hofer it is the third podium finish within 3 days. This record is simply outstanding. On Saturday he only had to admit defeat to the two Norwegians Sturla Holm Lægreid and Johannes Thingnes Bø.

But first things first: Hofer, after his Victory in the sprint was the first to go onto the cross-country ski trail and came to the first shooting session with Sebastian Samuelsson. Behind him, Johannes Thingnes Bø stalked Hofer and came to the first standing stage together with the South Tyrolean. While the overall World Cup leader made no mistakes, Hofer missed two targets. The Montaler still came in second after his two penalties. He was 1 seconds behind Bø. Lægreid wins In the last shooting session, the leader Bø made three mistakes. However, Hofer only had to go into the penalty loop once in difficult conditions. However, the onrushing Sturla Holm Lægreid took the lead after making no mistakes in the 3th shooting. Hofer went on the chase together with Bø. In the final round, Lægreid didn't let anything take the butter out of his bread and took victory. Third-placed Hofer was very satisfied after the race: “It was a difficult race. The conditions at the shooting range were not easy. I had problems in the first standing shooting stage - also because I didn't complete the shots completely cleanly. But overall I'm very happy with my performance and third place. Even though you can feel the strain of the long season on the cross-country ski trail, I'll try to get the most out of it again tomorrow."

For Dominik Windisch, however, the competition did not go well. The Oberrasner had 8 penalties and fell back to 40th place.

On Sunday, two mass starts will be held at the end of the Biathlon World Cup. The women's turn begins at 2 p.m., while the men's final competition begins at 13 p.m.

Next podium: Hofer in the form of his life
