Norway dominates biathlon relay races in Hochfilzen

Rune Brattsveen, Lars Berger, Emil Hegle Svendsen and final runner Tarjei Boe left the entire competition behind in the men's race and secured the day's victory in a time of 1:14:52.9 hours. The second-placed Russians performed with three fewer missed shots, but were significantly slower on the cross-country ski trail. Third place went to the French relay team, which left Sweden and Austria behind.

The “Azzurri” also had to settle for an extra role in the relay: Markus Windisch, Lukas Hofer, Christian Martinelli and Dominik Windisch made 13 errors in the standing stage. In the end, the Italians finished 12th, 3:27.2 minutes behind.

Ponza and Co. in seventh place

In the women's race, the Italian Tam was close to the podium for a long time, but had to leave after the last change. In the end, Michela Ponza, the extremely strong Karin Oberhofer, as well as relay debutant Alexia Runggaldier and Dorothea Wierer took seventh place with nine errors in the standing stage.

Meanwhile, the biathletes from Norway Horn, Ringen, Solemdal and Berger were in a class of their own, leaving the relay teams from France and Russia behind them.

Norway dominates biathlon relay races in Hochfilzen

At the end of the second World Cup stage in Hochfilzen (North Tyrol), the biathletes from Norway secured victory in the 4 x 7,5 km men's relay and the women's 4 x 6 km competition.
