Russian day in Ridnaun – Taschler in 14th place

With perfect conditions, the winners of the day were also able to benefit from the higher start number this time, so that they were always well informed and were able to plan the race well. Nevertheless, precise shooting was essential, and both Slepov did that in the morning and Nazarova did that in the early afternoon.

Slepow defeated the previous day's winner Lars Helge Birkeland (Norway) and Benedikt Doll (Germany), while Nazarowa was faster this time than the German Vanessa Hinz, who dominated last weekend in Ridnaun. The winner of Saturday's individual competition, Nadine Horchler (also Germany), took third place this time.

In the men's category, Daniel Taschler from Antholz once again emerged as the best “Azzurro”. As he has often done before, he hit all the targets precisely and finished the race in 14th place. Christian Martinelli also showed a good race - at least in terms of running - but two mistakes were fatal, so he fell back to 23rd place.

In the women's category, Nicole Gontier was the best Azzurra in ninth place, while Federica Sanfilippo was probably a little too excited in front of the home crowd and missed a total of three targets. Since the woman from Ridnaun is currently in great running condition, she kept the damage to a minimum and ended up finishing in 16th place.

Russian day in Ridnaun – Taschler in 14th place

Two Russian victories marked the Ridnaun sprint competitions, with which the second IBU Cup weekend came to an end. Both Alexey Slepow and Valentina Nazarova were successful at the biathlon range thanks to their perfect shooting performance.
