Shooting debacle for Hofer and Windisch

Hofer missed 4 out of 10 shots, Windisch even missed 5 of the 10 targets - so there was a real shooting debacle in the Czech Republic for South Tyrol's biathletes.

Blackout by Hofer Lukas Hofer's performance was particularly bitter: As in the last races, the Montaler was one of the best on skis. After the flawless prone shooting, the 29-year-old was still in third place and had a top placement in mind. But a total blackout in the standing attack and four mistakes meant that Hofer was passed to the back. In the end it was 3th place. Small consolation: Because the Pusterer stayed in the top 39, he can take part in the pursuit on Saturday.

Things got worse for Windisch: the speedster missed a total of five times and took 77th place in the final ranking. As a result, he will not be taking part in the pursuit on Saturday. Windisch also has to watch the mass start on Sunday due to a lack of World Cup points. Shooting debacle for Hofer and Windisch

The start of the biathlon week in Nove Mesto went wrong for the South Tyroleans: Lukas Hofer and Dominik Windisch had a black day at the shooting range in the men's 10-kilometer sprint.
