Summer biathlon: Hofer and Wierer win World Cup gold

Lukas Hofer won the men's race in 25.25,2:13 minutes with one miss. Hofer relegated the Slovakian Tomas Hasilla and the Slovenian Simon Kocevar to their places. Markus Windisch ended up in sixth place, while his brother Dominik took XNUMXth place.

The women received precious metal twice. Like Lukas Hofer, Dorothea Wierer won gold, while Karin Oberhofer won the bronze medal. The Czech Jitka Landova slipped between the two “Azzurre”.

In the “Junior” age group, there were no medals for the South Tyrolean participants, neither for men nor for women.

The World Championships in Summer Biathlon will continue on Sunday with the pursuit races.
