Despite controversial shooting range scene: Fourcade wins mass start

When Fourcade was first on the range, he noticed that a magazine was missing from the rifle, which was eventually thrown to him by his trainer. An illegal act that the jury discussed during and after the race. In the end it was decided not to sanction Fourcade. The Frenchman himself probably didn't notice much of all of this. He ran confidently to victory without any shooting errors and thus won the mass start World Cup. Fourcade has thus won all the individual balls this season and set a new record with 14 wins this season - an achievement to which one can only take one's hat off.

Second place on Sunday went to Andrejs Rastorgujevs, who finished 17 seconds behind with two shooting errors. Simon Eder was able to climb onto the third podium with one ticket and 32 seconds behind.

Dominik Windisch was extremely strong on his skis and had the sixth best time in the field. But with four penalties (one after the prone stage, three after the standing stage) the speedster deprived himself of a top position and ultimately ended up in 19th place. Lukas Hofer, on the other hand, came 30th with eight shooting errors.
