Outstanding Bø leads Norway to victory

Until 10 minutes before the start, the jury of the IBU World Association had still been deliberating whether it would be possible to start at all. After the thermometer not far from Calgary had already shown 37 degrees below zero this week, it was around minus 18 on Friday afternoon (local time). If it had been two degrees less, a cancellation would have had to be made. Nevertheless, the competition took place.

The victory went to Norway, which, led by an outstanding final runner Johannes Thingnes Bø (not a single missed shot), ran without competition. France, in second place, was already over a minute behind, while Russia came third, almost two minutes behind.

The Italian relay team with the two South Tyroleans Dominik Windisch and Lukas Hofer had to be content with eighth place. In any case, it wasn't the fault of the two South Tyroleans that in the end they were almost four minutes away from the lead. Both Windisch and Hofer never had to go into the penalty loop, but Thomas Bormolini and Thierry Chenal did.
