“Complete catastrophe”: worries for biathlon star Bø

“A complete disaster.” This is how Johannes Thingnes Bø describes his shooting performance in an important endurance test. But what had happened? He prioritized family life, skipped the altitude training at Lavazè Joch and instead worked “night shifts” because of his newborn son Gustav. “There were training sessions where I was tired and not concentrating,” admits the Norwegian, who was “as normal a father as possible.” He is a little worried at the moment because his recent performances have not always been world-class. “But there’s still some time left,” he says.
