In the end, the German had the staying power and grabbed the podium, while Wierer also had to let the strong runner Marte Olsbu Røiseland pass.

Nevertheless, a strong result from Dorothea Wierer. The same cannot be said of Lisa Vittozzi, who fell from 28th to 54th. The reason for this was six errors at the shooting range.
