Wierer’s great start: “I surprised myself”

The woman from Puster leads the overall ranking with 156 points, 43 points ahead of the Norwegian Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold. Doro has already sent a clear message to the competition: they are a force to be reckoned with this year too.

Wierer herself is surprised by her fantastic start. “I didn’t expect to win here in Hochfilzen. In general, I'm surprised at how well the season started for me," said the 29-year-old, who has already found her secret to winning in Hochfilzen: "The performance on the skis made the difference. If you make a mistake at the shooting range, you usually find it very difficult to win in a sprint.”

The men, on the other hand, will compete in their pursuit on Saturday (14.55:14 p.m.) and will take part in the relay on Sunday (XNUMX p.m.).
