The men's and women's relays are on today - and the spectator interest is enormous. There have been no tickets available online for days (both for the stadium and for the route), and there are only a few tickets left on site.

This means that around 23.000 fans will attend the biathlon festival. The first race starts at 11.45 a.m. when the women compete in their relay competition. A little later it's the men's turn: they'll be hitting the trails from 14.45:XNUMX p.m. As always, the relay competitions offer many spectacular moments, so the South Tyrol Arena will be a cauldron.

The following formations should be in place for the host nation: Lisa Vittozzi, Dorothea Wierer, Federica Sanfilippo and Michela Carrara form the Italian quartet for the women, while the men's relay team consists of Lukas Hofer, Tomas Bormolini, Daniele Cappellari and Dominik Windisch. Mass starts round off the World Cup On Sunday, however, the last two competitions of the World Championship are on the program, namely the mass starts. There are two South Tyroleans in particular in focus: Dorothea Wierer and Dominik Windisch are entering the race as defending champions. While Wierer is one of the favorites in the hunt for her third World Cup gold, Windisch - who has had a difficult time in the individual competitions at this World Cup so far - starts as an outsider. But that was also what he was last year with his phenomenal triumph in Östersund. The women's race starts at 2 p.m., the men's race at 12.30 p.m.
