Bruneck is ready for the Italian championship

The Italian ice sports association FISG has found a reliable partner in the PusterIce Club, which makes hosting this major event possible. The national competition was officially presented on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. Alfred Valentin, President of Bruneck Aktiv GmbH, the operating company of the ice rink, is pleased that the Intercable Arena will become the venue for the Italian Championships in the very popular figure skating, a sport that combines athleticism, elegance and artistic elements like no other and the athletes of world format to Bruneck. The PusterIce Club, which is responsible for the organization, can count on 60 volunteers who make the events possible: athletes and their family members, but also students from the Bruneck university branch. “I would like to thank all of you, as well as State Governor Arno Kompatscher, Mayor Roland Griessmair and the President of Bruneck Aktiv GmbH, Alfred Valentin, very much for your support. This wonderful facility makes it possible for us to put together a major sporting event that inspires us all,” said Sandro Brunetti, President of PusterIce. The representative of the national ice sports association FISG, Paolo Pizzocari, sent a video greeting message with thanks to the organizers. The operations manager of Bruneck Aktiv GmbH, Tobias Hitthaler, confirmed that everything is ready from a technical point of view for the major event. On the competition days December 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th, the official training sessions will take place in the morning and the competitions in the afternoon. Admission is free!
