The first time Maurizio Zandron stood on the ice with his skates, he was 7 years old. The Bolzano native was immediately captivated by the sport of figure skating; he was happy to swap his inline skates for ice skates. A few years later, his younger brother Marco followed, who, together with his mother, accompanied Maurizio to training at the Bolzano Eiswelle. This is how a unique success story in South Tyrolean figure skating began.
