“FuturFisi” funding project launched

The main tasks of the project were presented on Wednesday by Manzoni: interdisciplinarity, medium to long-term growth of athletes, economic sustainability, transparency, the involvement of the territory, the individualization and support of talents and the training of coaches. A total budget of 700.000 euros was estimated for the project.

The technical directors of the respective sports are: Devid Salvadori (Alpine skiing men), Marco Selle (cross-country skiing), Moreno Montello (biathlon), Marco Mazzonelli (snowboard and freestyle), Antonio Tartaglia (bobsleigh), Omar Sacco (skeleton) Andrea Longo and Arrigo Dalla Mea (ski jumping and Nordic combination), as well as the two South Tyroleans Karl Damian (sleigh track) and Heini Pfitscher (alpine skiing for women).

Several athletes were also present at the presentation of the project, including Patrick Baumgartner from Palatinate, who won gold at the Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck.
