Hermann Ambach confirmed as President of the State Winter Sports Association

It was already known before the election that Ambach would remain president, as he was the only candidate for this office. But he celebrated a great personal success because he received 12.398 out of a total of 12.732 votes cast. “I am of course pleased that I received so many votes. This shows that we have worked well. But I am particularly pleased that 93 of our 130 clubs were present today. These numbers show how great the interest in winter sports is.” Ambach has led the state winter sports association since 2008.

Twelve “new” members of the committee

For the next four years, however, he will no longer sit on the committee with ten members, as before, but with twenty. This increase was imposed on him by the new national statute. Today, eight members of the “old” committee (Sigurth Wachtler, Massimiliano Pedrazza, Markus Ortler, Roland Franceschini, Josef Jörg, Christian Gruber, Lidia Bernardi and Luigi Ponza) made it back onto the board. Silvano Maranelli did not stand for election, but Helmuth Schramm narrowly failed.

New to the board, however, are Christian Polig, Roland Unterleitner, Helmuth Grunser, Walter Eberhöfer, Leander Moroder, Giorgio Giovanelli, Armin Niedermair, the athlete representatives Christian Tröbinger, Elmar Hofer, Florian Runggaldier and Thomas Major as well as the trainer representative Thomas Rungg.

The previous vice president, Sigurth Wachtler, received the most votes (10.791), ahead of Massimiliano Pedrazza (7.431). You are of course the clear favorites for the position of vice president at the first board meeting on June 3rd.
