Alfred Stauder explains the upward trend in cross-country skiing

When the cross-country skiing World Cup comes to Dobbiaco this week, the Azzurri will also be aiming for podium places. They are stronger this season than they have been for a long time. Italy's cross-country skiing boss, who is from Dobbiaco, explains to us why this is the case.

Alfred Stauder comes from Hochpustertal and is considered a proven cross-country skiing expert. After his playing days, he initially worked as a serviceman and then pursued a coaching career. From 2007 to 2014 he was the women's boss, and since 2021 he has been the national team's sports director. The upward trend in the national team is also thanks to him. We conducted this interview with him.
