Comeback: Nöckler is finally allowed to play

For Nöckler, the past year was marked by poor performances on the cross-country ski trails and an unfortunate fall in training that completely threw him off his stride. He had to miss out on starting at the World Cup opener in Ruka and work his way back to his best form on his own in the Alpine Cup. With a win just before Christmas St. Ulrich am Pillersee and another sense of achievement after the turn of the year Campra the 31-year-old veteran took the right path. A 2nd place at the weekend Pustertal Ski Marathon has finally shown clearly: Nöckler is back!

Now those responsible for the Italian World Cup selection, who had dropped Nöckler from the senior national team in the summer after mutual agreement, could not avoid nominating the multiple World Cup medalist for the 10th stage of the season in Nove Mesto.
