Dürr's doping confession 2.0: “Two personalities in me”

Now Dürr said that there were three blood returns from an old depot from 2018 and 2014 in August, October and December 2015, carried out by S. or his accomplices. Nobody around him knew about it. No contact with other athletes Dürr was arrested in Innsbruck on Tuesday and released a day later. Dürr explained that the arrest was a relief for him, “when I saw the arrest warrant lying on the table, I was actually happy.” He described the inner conflict as “constant tearing and fighting to do the right thing. Unfortunately, I lost the fight.” But he was “definitely not a victim. I am definitely simply a perpetrator of the system that has not let me go.” Dürr assured that he had no further doping secrets. According to Dürr, S. received no financial compensation for the three blood returns in 2018. He “didn’t pay a cent for all the treatments and the entire organization, nothing at all,” said Dürr, who has since raised around 39.000 euros through a crowdfunding campaign. Dürr described the doctor Mark S. as an “affable, relaxed guy” who was “open and trustworthy”. However, he did not pass on his contact with S. to other athletes.
