Kläbo triumphs ahead of Pellegrino

Kläbo was once again in a class of his own in the sprint. The Norwegian set the fastest time in the qualification ahead of Federico Pellegrino. In the final he relegated the Aosta native to second place (+2 seconds). Third place went to Richard Jouve from France, the Russian Gleb Retivykh (+0,35) took fourth place.

Kläbo took the seats in the Tour rankings. The lead over the Russian Alexander Bolshunov is 32 seconds. The winner of the first stage, Sergei Ustyugov, had to settle for 1th place in the sprint and fell to 11th place in the overall ranking.

Zelger and Hellweger in the top 30 Stefan Zelger from Bolzano and Michael Hellweger from Sarn delivered a decent performance. Zelger qualified for the quarterfinals of the best 28 in 30th place, Hellweger narrowly qualified in 30th place.

However, both of them were eliminated in the quarter-finals. The 23-year-old from Hellweger ended up in 6th place in his group of 4. The 24-year-old from Zelger had to settle for 5th place. In the final rankings, Hellweger ended up in 20th place, Zelger took 25th place. Lampic celebrates surprise victory There was a surprise win for the women. The Slovenian Anamarija Lampic prevailed in the photo finish ahead of the Norwegian Maiken Caspersen Falla. Third place went to the Russian Natalia Neprjajewa, who took the lead in the overall tour standings.

The Tour de Ski pauses on Monday. The stage race stops in Toblach on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. The program includes a freestyle individual start over 15km (men, start at 12.30 p.m.) or 10km (women, start at 15 p.m.) on Tuesday as well as a pursuit in classic style on Wednesday (10km/15km). Kläbo triumphs ahead of Pellegrino

The Norwegian Johannes Kläbo won the freestyle sprint at the Tour de Ski in Lenzerheide on Sunday ahead of the Azzurro Federico Pellegrino. Stefan Zelger from Bolzano and Michael Hellweger from Sarnen made it to the quarterfinals.
