“Nathalie” is also the name of the new section of the route on which the starters will battle it out again before Christmas. It is a demanding route that will demand everything from the athletes, just as Nathalie Santer demanded of herself as an athlete. The course of the route is therefore no coincidence: “The route is difficult and very demanding. It was also named after me because I loved exactly such routes as an active athlete. I was always strongest when the trails had exactly these characteristics. I would even say that the harder the course, the more I loved the race.” Are there any recommendations for the athletes? “It's important that you divide up the race correctly and dose it well, because you can't always give full throttle from start to finish. Of course, a lot depends on how fit someone is and how fast the surface is.”

This year only the World Cup, next season the start of the Tour de Ski

The Nordic Arena in Toblach has been a fixture in the cross-country skiing World Cup calendar for years and will remain so in the future: “In recent years, there have been ski racing series as well as in the Tour de Ski Racing Series, but unfortunately not this year. For this we will organize the opening of the Tour de Ski next season.”

Resigned as head of the equestrian association for South Tyrol

The general assembly of the FISE (Italian Equestrian Federation), which was held on December 4th and 5th, had to note the resignation of Nathalie Santer as South Tyrol representative: “I have decided to resign from this position because it is simply difficult to fulfill several tasks, especially in winter when we hold the races. Next season we also have the Tour de Ski, and when I do something, I want to do it properly. In addition, I was told back when I was responsible for FISE for South Tyrol that I could only take on this task for a certain period of time. But I hope that I have made my contribution to ensuring that equestrian sport continues to be successful in South Tyrol. Nathalie won't be missing out on horseback rides in the future either, because it helps her to switch off from stress. “Working with a horse every day requires time and sacrifice, but I still enjoy it today.” The program:
