In the women's race, Eleonora Fauner took the lead after 25 kilometers in Innerpichl ahead of Bellini, Hermann, Kuen and Defrancesco. Matteo Tanel from Branzoll took the lead at kilometer 28 and decided to turn towards the finish at the intersection. The 30 km race became a photo finish sprint in which Tanel (1h11'14") took his second victory in the Casies Valley, just a tenth ahead of Daniele Serra, with Pusterer Patrick Klettenhammer (Team Robinson) completing the podium. In the women's category, Martina Bellini from Bergamo won ahead of Fauner from Friuli and Herrmann from Germany.
