Michael Hellweger: The strong cross-country skier with high goals

At the beginning of December, Hellweger celebrated his first victory in the Alpine Cup (preliminary stage of the World Cup) in Pokljuka, Slovenia, and has been an integral part of the World Cup squad ever since. Hellweger and the second South Tyrolean in the World Cup, Stefan Zelger, are part of the “Milan Cortina 2026” squad. Next season, Hellweger wants to further establish himself in the World Cup and become even more consistent. “My goal is to regularly be in the top 30 in the sprint races. If I make it to the semi-finals (top 12 place Note d. Red. ) could do it, that would be great.”
