Petter Northug wins the classic from Cortina to Dobbiaco
A group of four with the Norwegian Petter Northug, the Russians Alexander Legkov and Maxim Vylegzhanin, and the Swiss Dario Cologna put their stamp on the pursuit race from Cortina to Dobbiaco. This quartet ran almost the entire 36 kilometer route together before Northug had the most reserves of strength in the sprint and took the day's victory in the “Nordic Arena”. The best “Azzurro” was Giorgio Di Centa, who crossed the finish line in 22nd place, while Dietmar Nöckler, the best South Tyrolean, crossed the finish line in 26th place.
