The big backdrop seems to be Roland Clara: the Reischacher ran in fifth place in the 50 km race in front of around 100.000 spectators. Victory in Oslo was secured by the Russian Alexander Legkow, who was able to wrest the lead from Cologna in the overall World Cup.
