Cross-country skiing: Dietmar Nöckler no longer in the A team

While Roland Clara, David Hofer and Thomas Moriggl were confirmed, Dietmar Nöckler was relegated to the U23 B team. However, the World Cup is not a thing of the past for Nöckler: Over the course of the season he will have various chances to qualify for the races. Florian Kostner continues to compete in the FIS Marathon Cup.

Debora Agreiter, on the other hand, will be in the first team from the start of the coming season. Last year, the 21-year-old from Val Badia first had to qualify for the World Cup races. She succeeded in this and therefore played the entire last season with the A team. Agreiter won silver at the Junior World Championships in Erzurum, Turkey.

Stephanie Santer is breaking new ground Florian Kostner from Val Gardena was confirmed in the FIS marathon team. His future wife Stephanie Santer (they are getting married in a week), who won the overall ranking of the FIS Marathon Cup last year, decided not to be called up to the national team and is taking a new path. The 30-year-old from Toblach will compete in the coming season with the Skinfit Racing Team. Santer does all the preparation with this private long-distance professional team and then goes to the races with this team.

There are also some changes in the coaching constellation. Coach Gianfranco Pizio, who looked after the men's World Cup team last year, has been promoted to head coach; his position last season is now held by ex-biathletes' racing director Paolo Riva.
