Crazy: 516 kilometers of cross-country skiing in 31 hours

While training sessions in their own four walls are the order of the day for many sports enthusiasts in this country, three Norwegians in the far north have achieved an incredible achievement, which is, however, tainted by a small flaw.

In 1996 an officially recognized world record was set during a 24 hour race in Andalo (TN). The track was a ring 3,5 km long. This world record was set by an amateur who was training alongside his work and in times when the material was certainly not as good as it is today.
The snow was rather slushy and 200 athletes ran over it. So the conditions weren't ideal.
I think the Norwegians have done a great job in your article.
But I also think that what they did is nothing superhuman, but rather a fairly feasible action. There are many athletes who do more and don't end up in the headlines or hype. Why do you always have to market every movement like this?
Kind regards Martin Planker
