Zelger and Pellegrino in 6th place – team sprint to France

Due to his recent consistently good performances, Zelger was allowed to start in the team sprint in Dresden with Italy's super sprinter Federico Pellegrino. In the semifinals, the duo was convincing and took 3nd place in the photo finish of the best 2.

In the final, however, things didn't go so well for the Azzurri. The duo was in the top group for a long time, but in the 10th of 12 laps Pellegrino crashed and fell back a little. Zelger and Pellegrino in 6th place – team sprint to France
