In the heavy snowfall, the German Julia Taubitz (1:44,971 minutes) kept her perspective and celebrated the second World Cup victory of her career with a fantastic comeback. Summer Britcher (USA) followed in second place, she was ninth at halftime, Hannah Prock (AUT) was third. This is the first podium finish in the World Cup for the daughter of toboggan legend Markus Prock. The 18-year-old benefited from the better conditions in the first run (fifth time) and saved the top result across the finish line in the second run.

The leader after the first round, Ekaterina Katnikova (RUS), was pushed through to 17th place in the final.

Andrea Vötter was in eleventh place after the first round, and in the final ranking the woman from Völs was tenth (+1,134 seconds). Her teammate Sandra Robatscher was only in 17th place at the break, but she improved to twelfth place in the final (+1,296).

On Sunday, the men's single-seater is on the program at the oldest artificial ice rink in Königssee (10/11.35 a.m.) as well as the team relay (13.30 p.m.).

Andrea Vötter and Sandra Robatscher were snowed in in the Königssee ice channel. The two South Tyroleans didn't get past places 10 and 13 on Saturday.
