Third stop: Tobogganers stay in Canada

In 2021, the artificial ice rink in the “Canada Olympic Park” will be the venue for the International Luge Federation (FIL) World Championships. With a length of 1494 meters, the 1988 Olympic track is the longest track in the World Cup.

The World Cup week in Calgary begins on Friday at 18 p.m. with the doubles competition. For this purpose, technical director Armin Zöggeler nominated the couples Ludwig Rieder/Patrick Rastner and the young Ivan Nagler/Fabian Malleier. The double-seater duo Rieder/Rastner are hoping for another top ten placement after fifth place in Igls and ninth place in Whistler.
