Disappointing first day of the World Cup for South Tyrol's tobogganists
The Italian national luge team had probably imagined the start of the title fights in Whistler (Canada) quite differently: in both the doubles and the men's singles they were miles away from a medal. Christian Oberstolz and Patrick Gruber achieved the best result with seventh place. As expected, the victories went to the German lugers.
