Felix Loch celebrates his first win of the season – Fischnelller ninth

After his mixed start to the season, exceptional luger Felix Loch seems to have found his form again: In the 1988 Olympic city, the 26-year-old was unbeatable and celebrated a dominant victory. Chris Mazdzer, in second place, was already 0.324 seconds behind Loch and clearly missed his third success in a row. The leader in the overall World Cup, Wolfgang Kindl, completed the podium. Dominik Filehner, on the other hand, had to settle for ninth place and ended the North American tour of the artificial track sledders without a top place. If you exclude the Sprint World Cup, the Mühlbacher is still waiting for his second podium finish in the current World Cup winter after his opening victory in Igls. The other two South Tyroleans, Emanuel Rieder and Kevin Fischneller, ended up outside the top 15. While Rieder finished the race in 18th place, Filehner (15th in the first round) only came in 20th after a botched second run.

No South Tyrolean podium place in the sprint competitions Felix Loch was also the outstanding man in the Calgary ice track in the Sprint World Cup. He won ahead of the Russian Roman Repilov and the Austrian Wolfgang Kindl. Dominik Filehner just made it into the top ten in tenth place. In the doubles, the German duo Wendl/Arlt won ahead of their teammates Eggert/Benteken. The South Tyrolean doubles Oberstolz/Gruber and Rieder/Rastner came sixth and eleventh respectively. In the women's race, Sandra Robatscher took 13th place with the American Summer Britcher winning.

Felix Loch celebrates his first win of the season – Fischnelller ninth

Felix Loch took his first win of the season at the fourth stage of the World Cup in Calgary (Canada). The German came out ahead of the American Chris Mazdzer and the Austrian Wolfgang Kindl. As the best South Tyrolean, Dominik Filehner took ninth place.
