Geisenberger cannot be stopped – Sandra Gasparini in 12th place

Geisenberger remains undefeated this season. The luger from Bavaria set the fastest time in both rounds in Whistler and was ultimately crowned winner in 1:13,412 minutes. On the 2010 Olympic track, where the 25-year-old won Olympic bronze at the Vancouver Winter Games, the Miesbacher also celebrated a small anniversary with the 20th individual victory of her career. Behind Geisenberger, Canadian Alex Gough achieved her best result in Whistler with second place. Anke Wischnewski came third.

Sandra Gasparini from Wipptal also achieved her best result to date on the Olympic track in 2010. After the first round she was in 14th place, but in the second round she improved again and ended up in 12th place. They were behind Geisenberger. Previously, her best result was 14th place at the World Cup in Whistler in the 2010/2011 season. However, Gasparni slipped out of the seeded group with today's 12th place, which is why she first has to qualify for the main race in Park City next week via the Nations Cup.

Fifth place in the team relay

Germany's lugers won the team relay at the end of the Viessmann World Cup in Whistler, Canada. Natalie Geisenberger, Felix Loch and Tobias Wendl/Tobias Arlt won ahead of the Canadians and Austria in 2:03,791 minutes. The “Azzurri”, with Sandra Gasparini, Dominik Fiwickeler and Ludwig Rieder/Patrick Rastner taking part in the race, ended up in fifth place.

Next weekend, the fifth World Cup stage in Park City is on the program for the toboggan elite.

What the competitors couldn't do, a stubborn flu couldn't do either: On Sunday night, Natalie Geisenberger from Germany celebrated her fourth victory of the season at the World Cup in Whistler, Canada. Sandra Gasparini took 12th place.
