Innsbruck-Igls has been awarded the 2017 Luge World Championships
The Innsbruck-Igls artificial ice rink has been awarded the contract to host the 47th World Championships of the International Luge Federation (FIL). At the 61st FIL Congress in Istanbul (Turkey), the traditional track at the foot of the Patscherkofel was entrusted with organizing the World Cup for the fifth time after 1977, 1987, 1997 and 2007.
