Season 2012-13: The calendar for Zöggeler & Co. has been set

The start is the almost traditional stage in Innsbruck-Igls at the end of November. The second station, however, is on Italian soil, namely in Cesana, where no World Cup race was held last season. The World Cup circus then moves on to Altenberg (Germany) and Sigulda (Latvia).

In the new year, races in Königssee, Oberhof and Winterberg are on the program before the season reaches its climax with the 44th World Championships of the International Luge Federation (FIL) in Whistler, Canada (February 01st/02nd, 2013). The finale is the World Cups in Lake Placid and Sochi.

Six venues are planned for the team relay competition, which will be on the Winter Olympics program for the first time in 2014: Innsbruck-Igls, Altenberg, Sigulda, Königssee, Lake Placid and Sochi.

The juniors expect six World Cup stops in four countries

The 28th FIL Junior World Championships will take place next winter on the 15th/16th. January 2013 in Park City, USA. In addition, six Junior World Cups are scheduled for the young talent in Lillehammer (NOR), Königssee (GER), Calgary (CAN), Oberhof (GER), Innsbruck-Igls (AUT) and Winterberg (GER). Oberhof is also hosting the 34th FIL Junior European Championships.

Season 2012-13: The calendar for Zöggeler & Co. has been set

The FIL has published the World Cup calendar for the 2012-2013 season. A total of nine World Cup stations in six countries await the South Tyrolean track tobogganists this coming winter. The highlight of the season is the World Championships in Whistler, Canada.
