South Tyrol's relay narrowly missed the European Championship podium

Andrea Vötter, Emanuel Rieder and the doubles team Ludwig Rieder/Patrick Rastner finished fourth. The Russian winning quartet was 0,562 seconds behind, Latvia's third place was four tenths of a second away. Second place went to the German quartet around Felix Loch and Natalie Geisenberger.

On Sunday that was also the case Men's single-seater competition took place, and the sprint competitions were also scheduled. In the men's race, the Russian Roman Repilov won, but Felix Loch also had reason to celebrate: third place was enough for the German to secure the overall World Cup. Tatyana Ivanova, a Russian, also won in the women's category. Andrea Vötter achieved the best South Tyrolean result in eighth place, while Sandra Robatscher ended up in 14th place. In the double-seater sprint, Rieder/Rastner performed strongly and took seventh place, while Toni Eggert and Sascha Benecken clinched victory.

The South Tyrolean highlight of the European Championship delivered Sandra Robatscher already on Saturday by winning European Championship bronze.
