US sledders dominate Start Cup

Tucker West from the USA took the lead in the first of three starting runs, and the 23-year-old also set the fastest time in the second run. Local hero Dominik Filehner was close on West's heels, and in the third run Filehner secured the best time ahead of West. In the end, however, the US boy was 17 thousandths ahead, behind Dominik Filehner his cousin Kevin Filehner ended up in third place.

The women's victory also went to the USA, Summer Britscher confidently secured first place with the best time in all three starting runs, ahead of Andrea Vötter (Völs) and Sandra Robatscher (Tiers). The two teammates fought a tough neck-and-neck race.

In the doubles, Rieder/Rastner confirmed their role as favorites and clearly won ahead of Schwarz/Kainzwalder.
